This leads on to the alloy rocker covers that I fitted. I bought them off Ebay, a set of stainless steel bolts and original fit gaskets from Nigel at QRG. (Ford do not do the gaskets!) Grand total of £200.00. A slight snag. The alternator would not fit because the alloy rocker covers are thicker and the belt was not long enough. This is caused mainly by the position of the filler opening for the oil being in a different position and now next to the alternator. I ended up fitting a 2.8 Capri fan belt. It is just fractionally longer and perfect. Any longer and it would foul the cross member tube. The alloy filler cap is from Burton Power at a cost of £51.
