The rear suspension is pretty rugged and reliable, You should check for sagging rear end (Springs) and worn shocks especially if the car has a tow-bar fitted, The rear end bushes rarely play up and the rear anti-roll bar bushes are a straightforward job to do, As for the shocks and springs, I went for AVO fully adjustable and they have been fine to date. All the parts are still available from the marque specialists.
