Brake Hoses!

Dr Dan Mitchell emailed me recently about a brake issue on his Pre-Production Prototype Middlebridge and we both think it pertinent to inform other MB owners.

On inspection the brake flexi hoses on Dan's Pre Production Prototype Middlebridge were found to be quite ragged looking and were an MOT advisory. They would be after 26 years! A set of 3 Goodrich Stainless hoses (2 front & 1 rear) were purchased from Graham Walkers. Job done. The front copper brake pipes were also replaced. While the car was off the ground the rest of the braking system was checked and a part seized rear wheel cylinder was found. Two new rear wheel cylinders were purchased and fitted and hey presto. We do suggest that people check the flexi hoses etc the next time their car is off the ground.

"The brakes are certainly sharper now and it is a relief to bring it all up to scratch".
