Burton Power are now importing Gold Sump Plugs from the US. Constructed from Stainless Steel , they contain a powerful N45SH Neodymium magnet, retaining any ferrous swarf and particles not collected by the filter. The magnetic plug is a well known method of minimising wear on older engines.

I personally remember using the above many years ago and inspecting / feeling the magnet thoroughly at every oil change.
