Middlebridge 1
Middlebridge No 1 was chosen by Dennis Nursey & Paul Kalwa for the official 'Cannes' South of France photo-shoot and was driven to Cannes averaging 100mph where possible This showed off the new Scimitar's true high speed, long distance touring capabilities. Please see the link below for more detail.

No 1 was also used for the 1989 Beaujolais Run again driven by Dennis and Paul. They were 1st away from the collection point due to a Porsche not being able to clear the gate stop at the vineyard exit. With French Ferry Strikes taking place at this time Dennis and Paul decided to dash for Dunkirk to avoid the delay and were 1st to the ferry however they were forced to concede when queueing truck drivers made it clear that they would be first on the boat!
Clearly this Production Prototype really has some super history. She is VIN plated as Prototype 1 and was the Middlebridge Motor Show Launch Car. She has a cool history file that includes newspaper cuttings and photos of the car with HRH The Princess Royal after being caught speeding while the car was in her possession.
(The Royal Connection) HRH The Princess Royal's Middlebridge No 5 was on order and Middlebridge Scimitar Ltd were running behind schedule with the car and loaned her the Pre-Production Prototype for a week. This was then returned but her car was still not ready. HRH The Princess Royal was then loaned No1 for approx 6 weeks during which time she managed to gain one of her well publicised and legendary speeding tickets! ;o(
She still retains her original number plate which is clearly visible in the photos with HRH. In 1992 she was exhibited at the NEC Classic Car Motor Show on the main feature display stand 'Cars of the Royals'. She is in good condition throughout having only covered 43,566 miles from new with three owners. Her last owner and marque enthusiast owned her from 1995 - 02.2008.
