Middlebridge 15
Middlebridge No. 15 'Formerly H14 GTE' Now (BE GT 90H)
This car was purchased unregistered from Middlebridge by Chris Ward Motors. It was then sold to Graham Walker Ltd on 04/05/1990. The car was sold three months later to a gentleman in Shrewsbury who bought it for his wife. It was described as in 'brand new condition' and had 0 miles. Unfortunately the lady it was bought for did not take to the car and it mostly sat in a garage, under cover, for 7 years before being sold back to Graham Walker having only covered 537 miles.
The car was then sold to a doctor from Oldham on 03/07/1997 and he kept the car for the next five years. He decided to move abroad and the car was then offered back to Graham Walker in December 2002 when the mileage was recorded as 12,000. The car was then bought by a gentleman in Cumbria who was looking specifically for a Middlebridge. The car was described at that time 'as new' and the mileage recorded as 12,400 on 20/12/2002.
The car was put up for sale in January 2008 when the current owner acquired it. The mileage at that time was 13,500. Since acquisition the car has continued its relatively sheltered life currently having only 19,300 miles.
The Owner comments: - The car is certainly a bit of a one off having only done 19300 miles from new and being in such lovely condition.
- Bodywork - is very good and as far as can be determined the paintwork is original likewise the engine compartment with all trimmings including the foil insulation. The chrome strip around the windscreen was replaced for the Gatcombe 25th Anniversary event.
- Mechanics- the engine is as original likewise all main components and auxiliaries.
- Steering, braking and suspension are also as original.
- Electrics - as original and everything works.
- Chassis - is very clean and all metalwork is in good condition.
- Brightwork - and rubbers are complete and in very good condition.
- Interior and trim is in very good condition
- There is a tool kit and service handbook
- The car has a comprehensive history from new as provided by Graham Walker.
- To summarise, the car has been kept as original as possible apart from the wheels being excellently refurbished in a bright silver with alloy centres. The spot lights are smaller replacements and there is a cd player. The original cassette radio, spot lights and wheel centres will go with the car.
- (09.2020) MB 15 was advertised for sale and sold via car and classic. We're delighted to say that she has a new enthusiastic owner and as you will see from the pictures MB 15 now resides in Germany and was very quickly TUV registered. We look forward to regular updates from the new owner and I'm sure there will be more on this car in our future MESSages.
