Middlebridge scimitar for sale, number 6 out of 77 cars made. A very rare opportunity to purchase a piece of automotive history. The Middlebridge has been my pride and joy for the past 14 years and is in regular use with a huge history file. The car is mechanically excellent having been maintained by myself (ex BMW technician) and has wanted for nothing, has also taken part in a number of classic car shows and events.

over 400 improvements were made on the Middlebridge over the original Reliant scimitar, these include a full hot dipped galvinised chassis, stronger fibreglass body, electronic fuel injection,2.9 engine from Ford Granada Scorpio, light weight magnesium alloy wheels, germen VDO instrumentation.

Thats naming but a few, if you go on the Middlebridge enthusiast's website this will tell you all about the cars and how they came about and all improvements made. Mine comes with central locking, power steering, electric windows and mirrors. I have recently installed Avo adjustable coil over suspension, new PAS pump, new central locking system and control unit, new front brake calliper's along with brake pads and discs, front end rebuild including trunnion bolts,new front wheel bearings just fitted, new drive belts and coolant hoses, new battery the car also had a major engine overhaul by the Middlebridge garage just before I took ownership, think I have only covered 35k miles since.

She is regularly serviced and given good run twice a week. The chassis and body are in excellent condition. The paintwork is pearlescent red, the only negative with it is slight paint blistering(very common with grp bodied cars)and slight laquar peel nsr window(see photo). These cars normally go for considerably more, however a quick sale is needed due to another classic car purchase. A huge history file comes with the car including a hand book made specifically for my Middlebridge and original sales brochure(see photo).

Interestingly the car is the one after the one that was made for Princess Anne, hers being number 5. The car also benefits from a full bespoke long-life stainless-steel exhaust system. The car is brilliant fun to drive and sounds very throaty ,very quick as well with a book speed of 140mph,0 to 60 around 7.8 secs, it also benefits from a five-speed gearbox.
